Peace among pieces
I find myself peacefully gathering and picking up the pieces of a faith that was shattered, like a completed puzzle in the hands of a two year old...
And here I am starting the puzzle all over, but the picture is completely different now.
Different picture, different borders.
A simpler picture.
A simpler faith.
Pointing to one face and one face only.
Ecce Homo.
Ecce Spes.
Ecce Pax.
Pax vobis.

I guess I didn't have time to comment before on this particular post. I think it is my favorite one of all. The thought that faith can be transformed, the same way that our minds can be transformed, never occured to me. I guess I think of faith as, like....an ingredient. Sort of like sugar in a cake. You have to have sugar...you have it in one measure or another...but it is always sugar. But now I change my thinking: it isn't just an ingredient; it is a component of the whole...and the whole is completely dependent on the amount of the individual components. ("Componenets" sounds so much more intelligent than "Ingredients", don't you think?). I am glad that you've reached a place of peace. I am glad that God is re-constructing your faith. Be sure to share it with me as you go.
