Front Porch

We regularly get the Focus On The Family magazine. I don't usually read the whole thing, but I make a point of reading the little stories provided by readers in their Front Porch section, since you can find some pretty funny and cute stuff.

In their last issue, one definitely got my attention.

Here's the story:

The dough will find you out

When my mom and dad were newlyweds, she wanted to prepare yeast rolls for him. When the dough did not rise immediately, she decided it wasn't going to work. She didn't want him to think of her as wasteful, so she buried the dough in the backyard. That evening when Dad came home, he wanted to know what the "huge" mushroom was in the backyard.


So, is it just me or is it somewhat strange that someone would actually think of burying dough in the backyard rather than, say, ..THROW IT IN THE TRASH???
